75th Independence Day Celebration at L. M. College of Pharmacy

On 15th August 2021, India celebrated its 75th independence day. 75 years of independence and freedom. Freedom to grow, freedom to evolve and freedom to be. We at L. M. College of Pharmacy celebrated this day to show our respect to our nation and to honour the sacrifices and efforts of our freedom fighters and our soldiers. It is our tradition that retiring person is given the honour of unfurling the flag. So, our guests for the occasion were Dr. Yamini shah (Head of Department, Pharmaceutics), Dr. Anita Mehta (Head of Department, Pharmacology) and Mr. Kamleshbhai (Office Ex-Head Clerk). They along with Principal of the college, Dr. Mahesh Chhabria performed the flag hoisting ceremony. The ceremony was followed by their speeches. Our beloved principal sir with pride in his eyes, sang our national song Vande Mataram and swept us all of our feet. After that Dr. Manish Patel sang a patriotic song and reminded us all what an honour it is to be an Indian. The whole event was also broadcasted online on zoom platform. At the end of ceremony all the attendees looked at “Tiranga” and hailed “Jay Hind” from the top of their lungs. Nearly 50 persons attended the ceremony physically. The event concluded with snacks for all. The event was also covered in Gujarat Samachar.
