B. Pharm. Programme

Bachelor in Pharmacy is a fulltime four year (eight Semester) program is a foundation course for students wishing to make a bright career in field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The course provides exposure to almost all facets of Pharmacy profession including drug synthesis, manufacture, quality control, dispensing, drugs from natural sources, drug efficacy and safety etc. Upon completion the student can pursue Master’s program in various specializations.
The program is approved by both Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). B.Pharm graduates are also eligible for Registration as Pharmacist in the country.

Pharm.D programme

Pharm.D (Doctor in Pharmacy) is a fulltime six-year program leading to Doctor in Pharmacy degree. The degree attained is considered equivalent to Master’s Degree. The program develops practice-ready pharmacists for diverse healthcare environments. This is done through intensive coursework on biomedical, pharmaceutical and clinical sciences. The program provides extensive hospital-based training and one full year of internship in hospitals. The research project based on pharmacy practice and clinical research is also an important mandatory component of this program.

M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy)

Master of Pharmacy is the post B.Pharm two-year (four semesters) program. The program includes a mandatory research project.
The student has the choice to pursue this program in one of the following specializations.
M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics):

The program specializes in imparting expertise in dosage form design and evaluation. The course helps to develop research aptitude in the area of the design and development of novel drug delivery systems.
M.Pharm (Pharmacology):

The program specializes in studying the interaction of drugs with the systems and processes of living animals, in particular, the mechanisms of drug action as well as the therapeutic and other uses of the drug. The basic knowledge required for Drug Discovery and Development is also included in the curriculum.

M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance):

Quality Assurance is an integral part of each and every phase of drug discovery, manufacturing, and clinical and preclinical research. The program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to help the pharma and healthcare industry in assuring product/service quality. In addition, the program also deals with special training on sophisticated analytical instruments intended for determining the quality of pharmaceuticals

M.Pharm(Pharmaceutical Chemistry):

The program provides extensive knowledge and skills pertaining to Drug Discovery, Design, and Synthesis. The student also learns the synthesis of novel drug molecules

M.Pharm(Pharmacognosy):

Natural sources are extensively used as drugs in both traditional and allopathic medicines. The program specializes in learning about various drugs sourced from natural resources. The student also learns the techniques of extracting the drug from plants, and standardizing and manufacturing the herbal products.
